Conservation is at our Core
We believe that true exploration leaves a positive footprint.
Tourism as a Tool for Protection
For over 25 years, Loris Nature Tours has operated on the principle that wildlife tourism, when managed responsibly, is one of the most effective tools for habitat protection and species conservation.
5% of Profit for Nature Conservation
We commit five percent of our profit to nature conservation, and we run protection activities in and around the sanctuaries and tiger reserves our tours visit.
Tree Plantation & Care
We do tree planting work on public roads during monsoon in Sabarmati, Chandkheda and Motera areas where we have local presence. We provide support to trees that have fallen due to storms, and work to straighten tree guards that have bent or fallen through Green Mission Sabarmati.
Environmental Awareness
We do nature awareness work through schools, colleges, and groups that come with us. This includes plant identification, explaining the benefits of Ayurvedic trees, and motivating participants to plant trees.
Community Support
We distribute notebooks and books to a local rural school in the Sundarban Tiger Reserve, and donated a Janta Aaro water plant to the local forest department to help solve a drinking-water problem. In the Little Rann of Kutch we distributed school bags, along with a counting institute, to children of the Agaria community.
Citizen Science
We involve the groups who travel with us in recording what they see, so that a tour contributes observations rather than only consuming them.
School Nature Education
We work to raise awareness about the environment by providing textbook-based nature education, workshops, fieldwork, and projects to schools in Ahmedabad and Gujarat.
